INVITATION TO TAKE PART IN A STUDY EXAMINING ATTITUDES TOWARDS GENDER ROLES AND FATHERS
You are invited to take part in a research study. Before you make your decision it is necessary for you to understand fully why this research is being conducted and what is involved. This research study aims to investigate people’s attitudes towards traditional gender roles and perceptions towards male parents who choose to stay at home to raise their children. It will not seek your direct and personal viewpoint but will pose statements to which you must choose how you feel about the statement on a latitude from strongly agree to strongly disagree.
Please feel free to ask any questions or request further information and allow yourself the time you need to make your decision.
In participating you will be asked to demonstrate your attitude on a range of statements that measure feelings and perceptions to traditional gender roles and stay at home dads (SAHDs). The test should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me via email on [email protected] or my supervisor, Dr. Daniel Frings at [email protected].
